Here are some more of our YCR Foster dogs now in their forever homes
Gizmo
Maya
Honey
"Miss Coco"
-was adopted September 13 by Fran and Rally, a Rhode Island couple who wanted a sibling for their year-old Chihuahua, Tia Maria. Miss Cocoa has been re-named Coco Chanel, and she and Tia have become best buddies, with little murmurs of adjustment here and there. They share toys, enjoy taking leash walks together with Fran, ride in a car booster seat together on errands all over town, and sleep with their humans, who adore both of them.

Lacey
Hi. I am Lacey.
I found a wonderful, loving home with 2 adult parents and 1 adult child. I am getting spoiled rotten, and go for short day trips with my family. They love me very much. I am the only dog. and I have plenty of lap space to go around. I started in a kennel, and lived my last year in a cage. I have found love and freedom. and lots of puppy kisses to give to my new 'people'. I am loved very much. and could not have found a better home than with Yankee Chihuahua volunteers. Thank you for giving me a good life, and lots of love..
Love,.... Lacey.

"Lily-do"
This is the story of how a "big dog" woman fell in love with a precious little Chihuahua girl.

My name is Jane Simons, and I've always been a fan of the "big boys". In fact, although I have had several breeds over the years, my "heart" breed has always been the Great Dane. Then I met "Bubba". Bubba is owned by Karen White of Enfield, CT, and I first made his acquaintance at a UKC show. I began to look forward to seeing Bubba and the rest of Karen's show dogs at the UKC shows. In fact, I have a great picture of Bubba, supported by Karen, sitting on the back of my Great Dane, Toby. I realized that this toy breed was nothing like I had assumed. Time went on and I decided to get a Chihuahua for my 61st birthday. On my birthday in March, I drove to New Hampshire and picked up little Katydid, a brown and white, 7-month-old long-haired female. Katy fit right into my household, and I was so pleased with this darling little girl that I decided to get her a playmate. This time, I wanted to adopt a little one, so I was put in touch with YCR volunteer Leslie Riley. YCRAA happened to have a black and tan long-haired little girl named Liliana who was being fostered by a wonderful woman named Sandy Fraser of Manchester, NH. Once again, I journeyed to New Hampshire to see "Lily". Of course, it was love at first sight, and Lily came home with me. I have never been happier! Lily fit right in, and is best friends with Katy. The two of them run and play together and even sleep together! My lap is big enough for both of them to sit with me to watch television or just to cuddle. Sandy Fraser did a wonderful job with her in foster care. Lily had several issues which Sandy, with patient loving care, helped her to work through. Both my little girls are fantastic pets and I refer to them as Katy-did and Lily-do! I have gotten quite a few performance titles on dogs through the years, and both girls are working well in obedience. So, this is one woman whose heart has been won over by these feisty little treasures. I'll always love my Danes, but I am so grateful to be able to own these special little dogs!
