Happy Endings
Here are some more of our YCR Foster dogs now in their forever homes
Chauncy has gone to his forever home with a 3-year-old Chihuahua brother and a 200-pound Great Dane brother and 3 humans, one being a 14-year-old football player. His Chi brother is the mascot for the human team. Now Chauncy is co-mascot! They bonded right there (see pictures above) in the front yard at the farm and are now inseparable. Chauncy is finally living the life he has deserved for the last 9 years.
Kid Rock has gone to a wonderful home in Massachusetts! She has a new name -- "Isabelle", and she lives at a beautiful New England B&B nestled on a beautiful wooded lot with her new 11-year-old sister who was adopted from a shelter. Isabelle is adjusting happily to her new home and mom!
Sprite has gone to live with her new forever mommy, Jillisa, who is taking things very slowly, just as Sprite needs, and is gaining a little more trust every day. It will take awhile, but Jillisa will soon have her "little bundle of joy". Her new mom loves her very much, and knows her love and patience will be returned with a lifetime of love and trust from Sprite. Congratulations to Sprite and Jillisa for finding each other!
Jasper has been adopted by Charles and Lillian of Vermont. They have called to say how much they love him already. They have a female who looks very much like Jasper. He's home at last!
Beautiful, affectionate, faithful young Sancha was once the baby of the house until the couple had a human baby who took her place. Sancha is now called Agnes, or Aggie, affectionately, and has a lovely home on Cape Cod with a childless couple and two other doggie friends. Agnes now enjoys long walks on the beach and being treated like the princess she is.
Chiqui was surrendered because of a divorce, but is now a happy boy in his new home, with his female pug friend, and two very devoted humans. They are lucky to have this young, smart, playful, affectionate, friendly-to-everyone Chihuahua. He will surely bring the family much pleasure. He's a really good boy and deserves all the love he will get.
Romeo has been adopted by a wonderful couple in Massachusetts named David and Sheila. They are showering him with love. He is their only pet, and they have a quiet home where they can be with him all the time -- exactly what Romeo wanted. Now he gets all the petting and belly rubs his little heart desires. Congrats to David, Sheila, and Romeo ... we are awaiting family pictures of the three of you!
Newbie has been adopted by Donna of Meridien, Connecticut. Congrats to all!
Tut (as in King Tut), formerly Tuck, is a sweet 11-year-old black and white long-coated Chihuahua who was about to be euthanized when his owner had to go into a nursing home. He was un-neutered, overweight, and had rotten teeth. But thanks to YCRAA, he has been taken care of, and he now has a loving retirement home of his own, and some other adopted doggie friends, too, including Lulu. Hooray for all!
Meg, now known as Maggie, has found her forever home with a lovely couple, Gail and Jerry, in Connecticut. Maggie now has one foster feline sister, Gracie, and at last report, Maggie was being loved and cuddled to pieces ... just what this wonderful pup deserves. Thanks, YCRAA, for helping to give Maggie the best new start ever!
Stinker and Twink came to YCRAA very sick, and for awhile, we thought they wouldn't make it. But they did! They are now in their forever home with their foster mom, Janet Rivet, and they have given her a great deal of joy and happiness.
Patches has been living in his new home with his humans, Jennifer, Doris, and family. They are in Gardner, Mass.
Chanel was found on the streets. She was very, very pregnant at the time. As no one claimed her, she was given to YCRAA. On December 1, 2000, she delivered Odie, Dior, Tizzie, Willy, and Spot. Odie, Dior, and Tizzie have already been adopted. Willie and Spot are looking for happy homes Chanel has now been returned to the man who found her on the streets, Tony. They will be so happy together!

Bailey has been adopted by a wonderful woman in Mass. who also has another rescue named Snowy, a former puppy mill breeding female whom she has rehabilitated. She and Bailey are the same age and should be fast friends. Update: Bailey is as handsome as ever, and he and Snowy are very close. Snowy likes to wash Bailey's face for him. When told to give him kisses, she runs over and gives him a lick. He has even started to sing a little bit when Snowy sings her song. His singing is more like wailing, but it's done at the appropriate time.
Oscar has been with his new family for some time now, and is doing very well. They love him and wouldn't think of being without him. Oscar is becoming sort of a poster child for Chihuahuas and helping people see that Chihuahuas are not the nippy nasty dogs seen on TV, or the Taco Bell dog. Oscar goes to work every day with his new owner, and everyone is just wild about him.

Oscar was surrendered Labor Day weekend, and by the following week we had found him the perfect home! He is living with a wonderful family in CT who fell in love at first sight. He has a little girl and boy to play with, and a mommy and daddy to sleep with in the recliner at night, just like he did at his foster home(s). Oscar is going to learn how to make syrup this spring with his new family as he goes to the sugar-house with them in the evenings ... a nice warm place for a little Chi! Oscar, seen here with a member of the family where he was surrendered, captured the hearts of everyone who met him. From the family he was surrendered to, the couple from Collie Rescue who transported him, to the family that fostered him for less than a week. There were tears all around when this little guy left. He was just the best little baby boy, even though he was 3 years old!Update: Oscar has been with his new family for some time now, and is doing very well.
